Titanium Wire: High-Purity CP Titanium & Ti-6Al-4V Alloy Wire

Explore our titanium wire, engineered for cardiovascular implants, seawater desalination, and aerospace fasteners. Grades 1, 2, and 3 (TA1/TA2/TA3) offer ≥99.3–99.5% purity with yield strengths from 170–380 MPa, while Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) delivers ≥825 MPa yield strength and stays stable up to 400°C. All grades hold a ±0.01mm tolerance.

Grade 1 & Grade 2 Titanium Wire for Medical and Filtration Use

For cardiovascular implants, filtration mesh, and other applications where material purity matters most, our ASTM Grade 1 Titanium Wire (TA1) offers ≥99.5% titanium content and the highest ductility in the CP series, drawable down to 0.08mm for ultra-fine mesh weaving. Where higher mechanical strength is needed without sacrificing weldability, our ASTM Grade 2 Titanium Wire (TA2) steps up to ≥275 MPa yield strength at ≥99.4% purity, making it the standard choice for RO seawater desalination equipment and industrial filter screens. Both grades are cold-drawn to the same ±0.01mm tolerance across a 0.08mm to 35.0mm diameter range.

Grade 3 Titanium Wire for High-Strength Structural Components

For load-bearing parts that need more strength than Grade 2 but don’t require a titanium alloy, our ASTM Grade 3 Titanium Wire (TA3) delivers ≥380 MPa yield strength — the highest among our commercially pure grades — while retaining the corrosion resistance of the CP titanium family. This makes it suited to orthopedic fixation pins, offshore platform fasteners, and aerospace auxiliary components exposed to vibration and cyclic loading. TA3 is available from 0.2mm to 35.0mm at the same ±0.01mm tolerance as our other CP grades.

Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) Alloy Wire for High-Temperature and High-Stress Environments

When operating conditions exceed what commercially pure titanium can handle, our ASTM Grade 5 Titanium Wire (Ti-6Al-4V / TC4) is alloyed with 5.5–6.75% aluminum and 3.5–4.5% vanadium to reach ≥825 MPa yield strength and remain stable at temperatures up to 400°C. We supply this grade for aerospace fasteners, high-pressure filtration systems subject to repeated backwashing, and orthodontic wire requiring stable spring-back under load. TC4 is produced from 0.1mm to 30.0mm in diameter, holding the same ±0.01mm tolerance as our CP titanium wire.

We manufacture ASTM Grade 1 (TA1), Grade 2 (TA2), and Grade 3 (TA3) commercially pure titanium wire, plus ASTM Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V / TC4) titanium alloy wire. Diameters range from 0.08mm to 35.0mm for the commercially pure grades and from 0.1mm to 30.0mm for Grade 5, all held to a ±0.01mm dimensional tolerance.
Grades 1, 2, and 3 are unalloyed commercially pure titanium, valued for ductility, weldability, and corrosion resistance, with yield strengths ranging from ≥170 MPa (Grade 1) to ≥380 MPa (Grade 3). Grade 5 is alloyed with 5.5–6.75% aluminum and 3.5–4.5% vanadium, giving it a much higher yield strength (≥825 MPa) and stable performance at temperatures up to 400°C, at the cost of lower elongation (≥10% vs. ≥18–20% for the CP grades).
Grade 1, 2, and 3 are unalloyed commercially pure titanium — the choice when ductility, weldability, and ease of forming matter most, such as cardiovascular implants (Grade 1) or seawater desalination filtration (Grade 2). Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) trades some of that ductility for over 4x the yield strength (≥825 MPa vs ≥170–380 MPa) and stability at temperatures up to 400°C, making it the right choice for aerospace fasteners and filtration systems under repeated high-pressure backwashing. If your application involves sustained mechanical load or heat above what CP titanium can handle, Grade 5 is generally the better fit.
