Wedge Wire: Precision V-Profile Screen Wire & Support Rods

Explore our wedge wire and V-profile components, built for self-cleaning filtration screens in water treatment, oil & gas, and mining. Our Triangle, T-shaped, and House-shaped surface wires resist clogging, while our Support Rods keep slots uniformly aligned under load. All profiles, from stainless steel to Q195/Q235 galvanized steel, hold a ±0.01mm tolerance.

Cold-Drawn Support Rods and Uniform Slot Alignment

Our Stainless Steel Support Rods reinforce every wedge wire screen from the inside, welded beneath the surface wire to keep slot openings uniform under heavy industrial loads. Cold-drawn in SS304, 316, 316L, 321, and 430, they’re available in round, triangular, flat, or tear-drop shapes to match the screen design. Every rod holds the same ±0.01mm tolerance as the surface wire above it, which is what prevents uneven gaps and screen collapse in deep-well or high-pressure equipment.

Triangle Wire and T-Shaped Wire Surface Profiles

Our Stainless Steel Triangle Wire is the industry-standard surface profile: its sharp V-shaped apex creates a self-cleaning, inward-widening slot that resists clogging, with apex angles of 10°, 12°, or custom to match specific separation needs. Where a broader, flatter surface is preferred for wear resistance and weldability, our T-Shaped Profile Wire delivers the same anti-clogging geometry with a wider head. Both profiles are produced in SS304, 316, and 316L at the same ±0.01mm tolerance.

House-Shaped Wire and Galvanized Carbon Steel Options

For screens needing a specific separation angle, our House-Shaped Profile Wire uses a five-sided “roof-ridge” cross-section, with sloped sides that shed debris faster than a standard V-wire. For lower-corrosion environments where cost matters most, our Q195 & Q235 Galvanized Wedge Wire delivers the same self-cleaning V-profile in a hot-dip or electro-galvanized carbon steel, extending service life 2–3 times beyond bare carbon steel. Both hold the same ±0.01mm tolerance as our stainless steel profiles.

Frequently Asked Questions

We manufacture Triangle (V-shaped), T-shaped, and House-shaped surface wire, plus the Support Rods that reinforce them internally, in stainless steel 304, 316, 316L, 321, and 430. We also offer Q195 and Q235 galvanized carbon steel wedge wire as a lower-cost alternative. All profiles are held to a ±0.01mm dimensional tolerance.
The surface wire (Triangle, T-shaped, or House-shaped) forms the outward-facing slot that determines filtration precision and self-cleaning performance. The support rod is welded on the inside of the screen and determines its overall strength — it keeps the slot openings uniform and prevents screen collapse or deformation under high differential pressure or heavy mechanical loads.
Q195/Q235 galvanized wedge wire is a cost-effective choice for neutral, low-corrosion environments such as interior architecture or general irrigation, with a galvanized coating that extends service life 2–3 times beyond bare carbon steel. For acidic, alkaline, or seawater environments, or where long-term corrosion resistance is critical, stainless steel (SS304/316/316L) is the better choice.
